Asthma not to be underestimated
Asthma is not a condition to be dismissed lightly, causing the deaths of more than 60 people a year according to asthma foundation statistics.
Tuesday is World Asthma Day and the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ is aiming to improve awareness and management of asthma.
Sixty-three people die from asthma each year, and it was the cause of 7446 overnight hospitalisations in 2015, according to the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ.....

Fundraiser created to honor woman, raise asthma awareness
Brooke Elswick had suffered from severe asthma since she was a little girl.
As an adult, she never “grew out” of her condition, but in the last five years she had been able to manage it better, friends said.
That’s why it was such a shock when loved ones learned Elswick, 32, died in her apartment Dec. 16, 2016, in Seymour after having an asthma attack. Her body wasn’t found until the next day.....

Free asthma program begins in Zanesville
ZANESVILLE - A new program in Muskingum County will provide local families with the education and resources they need to combat their children's asthma.

Dr. Gerald Tiberio, who helped found the Muskingum Valley Health Center and is retiring from the facility, wanted to continue providing pediatric care. He partnered with Rambo Memorial Health Center to form the Pediatric Asthma Management Program.....
