A new study entitled “Increased incidence of inflammatory bowel disease in Québec residents with airway diseases” reports that patients afflicted with lung diseases have a higher risk of developing inflammatory bowel disease. INDIANAPOLIS - Mary Dorgan's asthma was interfering with her work in a busy medical lab at a south side doctor's office.
"If you are also fighting to breathe, there is only so much oxygen and so much energy you have," the 61-year-old said.
She never knew when an attack was coming.
"I had one here at work where I was a direct admit from here to the hospital," Dorgan recalled.

UEA researcher awarded NIHR grant to reduce avoidable asthma deaths in the UK
