Breastfeeding and asthma risk

A US study, at University of Arizona, Tucson, found that breastfed, atopic children with asthmatic mothers were at increased risk of asthma.
1,246 healthy babies, were recruited for the study. Outcome measures were duration of exclusive breastfeeding, a physician’s diagnosis of asthma, and questionnaires assessing the subject’s respiratory health, which were completed between the ages of two and 13 years.....

UK researchers have found that children at high risk of asthma and allergies benefit from living in a home which has been treated to remove irritants such as dust mites.
