Woman with severe asthma troubled by smoke in her smoke-free building
An 83-year-old woman in Wolfville says smoke in her smoke-free seniors building is affecting her health.
"I have reactive airways," Margaret McNeil told CBC News. "When I come in contact with smoke, my breathing stops."
McNeil has severe asthma, is on medication and uses a puffer. She lives on the main floor of a three-storey building on Woodlawn Drive operated by Housing Nova Scotia.....

Alberta asthma pilot project aims to reduce delays in diagnosis and treatment
Young asthma patients will be able to breathe a bit easier thanks to a new pilot program aiming to provide more tools to Alberta family doctors.
Thanks to a $750,000 grant funded by The Partnership for Research and Innovation, some 22 family medical practices across the province will participate in the three-year study that will provide a "decision-making tree" directly in the child's electronic medical record, with the aim of improving both diagnosis and treatment.....
