Breathing issues are often under-tested, over-treated
From asthma and bronchitis to COPD, many physicians aren't properly testing are prescribing too many antibiotics.

The heat and humidity of summer causes lots of breathing problems, like asthma flare-ups and aggravation of bronchitis. But sometimes doctors diagnose asthma without formal testing, and all too often we give out antibiotics that can’t help. Overtreatment can sometimes be as bad as undertreatment.
It has been demonstrated repeatedly, across diseases and in many countries, that anywhere from 30 per cent to 45 per cent of patients don’t get the care they ought to receive (i.e. what is recommended in medical guidelines), and surprisingly even more — 20 per cent to 30 per cent of patients — receive care that is unnecessary, or even potentially harmful.....

Link Between Segregated Neighborhoods And Childhood Asthma, Study Suggests
A new study links childhood asthma and residential segregation

A new Princeton University study links childhood asthma and residential segregation.
Black children are twice as likely to develop asthma as a child. According to ScienMag, prior research suggest that this may be due to a lower average birth weight (while low birth rate increases the likelihood of a child developing asthma, it isn’t the “cause” and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology says there is no association between the two). However, even when comparing infants of all races with low birth rate, Black children are still more likely to develop asthma.....

She couldn’t.

Thunderstorm Asthma on the Rise
Why? And who is at risk?
