More than two thirds of asthma sufferers feel their condition is having a negative impact on their sex lives, new research suggests.
A survey by Asthma UK found 68% of people with asthma feel their sex lives have been directly affected by their condition, with almost thee quarters (73%) saying they’ve felt embarrassed about about using their inhaler on a romantic night out.
Nearly half surveyed (46%) said they’d be more sexually confident if they didn’t have asthma, while just under 15% said they felt their asthma had contributed to a relationship ending.....

Study shows poor children face higher rates of asthma and ADHD

Poverty takes a toll on human health and especially on children.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and Britain’s Child Poverty Action Group, among various groups and scientific studies, long have documented the higher risk of illness, chronic disease and disability among impoverished children, along with lower birth weights and an average life expectancy nearly a decade shorter than children from affluent families.
Now add asthma and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder to the long list of physical and mental maladies, along with attendant conditions known as “comorbidities.”
These are the key findings of a Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC study published today in Pediatrics.....

Man steals phone from teenager suffering from severe asthma attack

A teenager suffering a severe asthma attack had her phone stolen by a man who had offered to call paramedics.
Student Evie Merrygold, 18, was in Ark nightclub on Deansgate when she started struggling for breath and went outside.
She collapsed on the pavement near the venue in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A man said he would help her by ringing for medical help, but when he took her Google Pixel XL he then disappeared.....
