4-Year-Old Wishes He Was Dead, Then Mom Reads Side Effects Of His Asthma Medicine

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare to hear that their child wants to end their lives.
Sometimes it seems to occur in their teen years. With so many life changes and adjustments, they can feel as if they’re alone or too different. Hopefully, the depression or confliction does not last or go to a higher level.
But, can you imagine hearing those words about wanting to die from your 4-year-old?!
For Vanessa Sellick, that nightmare happened.
Her son started having suicidal thoughts and conversations about wishing he was dead, at just 4 years old.
When she tried to figure out what was going with her son, she found out that his asthma medicine could be the cause of it all. After research and questions, she got answers: a drug called montelukast.....

Acetaminophen not associated with worse asthma in kids

Children with mild, persistent asthma did not have worse asthma symptoms after taking acetaminophen (e.g., Tylenol) for pain or fever, compared to using ibuprofen (e.g., Advil), according to the results of a randomized, double-blind clinical trial recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Previous observational reports have linked the use of acetaminophen with asthma exacerbations, however well-designed clinical trials evaluating the association were lacking.....

Prisoner died just days before release after complaining about asthma care

Ashley Gill put in a formal complaint to the health screen nurse at the prison HMP Liverpool, he had been admitted to hospital a number of times.
A prisoner who died after being found unresponsive in his cell complained about his asthma prescription just weeks before, an inquest heard.
Ashley Gill, 25, was transferred to HMP Liverpool on April 1 last year, but died less than a month later, on April 29.....
