‘Simple steps’ to reduce hospital asthma deaths

A national care check list has been launched today for NHS hospitals discharging asthma patients who have recently received treatment for an acute asthma attack.
According to those behind the care bundle, successful implementation of just five simple steps by hospital staff, could reduce future life-threatening exacerbations and hospital admissions.....

Charity event in memory of teenager of who died of asthma attack in Cleethorpes

A charity fitness event will raise money in memory of a tragic 15-year-old who died of an asthma attack while holidaying in Cleethorpes.
Alex Hardiment died suddenly after a severe asthma attack at Thorpe Park in April 2014.
The event, taking place at the North Lindsey College events centre tomorrow (Saturday) includes two hours of body combat and insanity to raise money for the charity Asthma UK.....
