The dangers of travel for people with asthma

People whose asthma is not well controlled risk having an attack during travel, according to a study.
Researchers in Tel Aviv, Israel, have studied a group of 203 people with asthma attending a travel clinic. Of these, 147 went on to do some high altitude trekking, as part of their travel plans. Eighty eight had asthma attacks during travel – of whom 40 reported worsening asthma, 32 had their worst ever attack and, for 11, the attack was even life-threatening......
