PCOS, overweight, obesity increase risk for asthma

BOSTON — Independent associations were found between asthma and polycystic ovary syndrome as well as overweight and obesity, according to results presented here.
“The results of this study need to be confirmed with results in other populations, and exploration of these relationships in longitudinal studies is needed,” Anju Elizabeth Joham, MBBS, FRACP, an endocrinologist and postdoctoral research fellow at Monash University in Melbourne, said in a press release.....

Summer Camp to be Held for Kids With Asthma

A local camp for kids with breathing issues is accepting applications for another year.
"Camp Catch Your Breath" will be held at Jackson's Mill from July 24 to July 29.
The camp provides a chance for kids with asthma to enjoy traditional camping activities, under the supervision of a medical staff.....
