Women With Asthma May Have Fertility Problems
It might take longer to get pregnant and that difficulty increases with age, research suggests


FRIDAY, Feb. 12, 2016 (HealthDay News) -- Women with asthma may take longer to get pregnant and have a lower pregnancy rate than those without the lung disease, new research suggests.
The study included 245 women, aged 23 to 45, who had unexplained fertility problems and were undergoing fertility treatment. Ninety-six of the women had been diagnosed with asthma.....

Asthma linked to an increased time to pregnancy

Asthma has been associated with a prolonged time to pregnancy and a decreased birth rate in a new clinical observation study. The current study investigated 245 women with unexplained fertility problems aged between 23 and 45 years. They underwent asthma and allergy testing and questionnaires during their fertility treatment. 96 women in the study had either an existing doctor's diagnosis of asthma or were diagnosed with asthma when they entered the study.....

Asthma Boosts Abdominal Aneurysm Rupture Risk

Asthma patients over age 50 appear to have an increased risk for abdominal aortic aneurysm and sudden death from aneurysm rupture, and the risk increases with recent asthma activity, researchers reported.
Use of asthma medication was associated with a 45% greater risk for having an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in a cohort of men age 65 to 74.....
