Do You Need to ‘Live With’ Asthma and Allergies?

Who am I to talk about Asthma and Allergies? I haven’t personally suffered from them and neither has a family member. I haven’t personally been hit with the devastating feeling of my child not being able to breathe when he is playing soccer or just playing outside with friends. I haven’t experienced a child who has life threatening allergies and isn’t able to eat school lunches, birthday party treats or be a part of kid activities.....

Ohio pledges more funding for asthma research

Thousands of pediatric asthma sufferers in Ohio are now getting coordinated care through a multi-million dollar initiative to align the state’s children’s hospitals.
Gov. John Kasich in 2011 pledged $2 million in research funds to improve the health of Ohio’s children. Last week, he pledged a second round of $2 million to support expanded asthma research and pediatric pneumonia research.....
