(Reuters Health) – After stopping steroids commonly prescribed for asthma and allergies, a significant number of people may experience signs of malfunctioning in the adrenal glands, a European study finds.

Over million of Czechs affected by asthma
Prague, April 22 (CTK) - Over one million Czechs suffer from asthma, but as some 200,000 of them ignore it, they are not treated at all, Petr Pohunek, from the Czech Initiative for Asthma (CIPA), told journalists Wednesday.
Out of those treated, more than half neglect or do not use preventative treatment, Pohunek said, adding that this may result in unexpected bouts that threaten up to 84 percent of the patients.....
