‘50 million asthma patients in Mena region’

Abu Dhabi: The State of the World Allergy Report by the World Allergy Organisation (WOA) states that the Mena region is home to an estimated 50 million asthma sufferers.
“Even as the world celebrated Asthma day Tuesday, the climatic condition make this region a very dusty place that does not work well for asthma patients and the number of children afflicted with asthma in the UAE is on the rise,” said an expert in the capital (name withheld on request).....

Breathing Problems in Athletes Often Mistaken for Asthma

If you've been told you have asthma, but still have running-induced breathing problems, you may have been misdiagnosed, a new study suggests.
The study looked at 88 athletes who went through a full clinical asthma test after complaining of respiratory problems when exercising. These were serious athletes, who trained at least ten hours per week......
